Adventure_Title="Rich Man's Blues"
Adventure_Introduction="Hades promises opulent riches to the person who founds a city in his honor. Yet, those who desire great wealth often pay a price."
Adventure_Complete="Who would have thought that a land that once knew the ravages of war between gods would become the most prosperous city in the entire Caribbean? Finally, the city is able to take advantage of Hades' generous gifts of silver, orichalc and marble. Hades himself is a frequent visitor, and he beams with pride at the mere mention of your city's name. The rest of the gods have left the city alone, except for the occasional visit to gaze upon the grandeur of the Pyramid of the Pantheon. Problems with other mortals have cleared up as well. The Oceanids, without Artemis and Apollo urging them on, have retreated quietly and have ceased all threats against Pherusa. Even the Mayans have begun trading again, although it took a lot of convincing - and an impressive stack of silver - to mend the relationship. Order has been restored, and all is well in the world."

Parent_Episode_1_Title="Metal Magic"
Parent_Episode_1_Introduction="The tremors were only barely perceptible at first. But soon, the slight trembles grew into violent convulsions, and the earth shook in seeming fury. Just as it appeared that the earth would shatter into pieces, the great god Hades ascended from the Underworld. 'Greetings, mortal,' the god boomed. 'Long have I wished for a city to call my own here. Fulfill my desire, and I promise to make it worth your while.' With his words, many of the outcroppings suddenly glistened with orichalc and silver, and rich quarries of marble revealed themselves. 'See,' the god said. 'You've already felt the benefit of my patronage. Now, build me the city that will be as bright as the metals of the earth.' The silver that Hades gives would certainly come in handy as the Atlantean nation grows. Besides, who are you to refuse a god?"
Parent_Episode_1_Complete="With Hades' benevolence as its foundation, Pherusa is a profitable mining center well on its way to becoming a world-class city. Hades was last seen with a broad smile on his face and is well-pleased that he chose such a capable mortal to lead his city. Everything is going quite well. Yet, the wind has taken on a distinct chill, and small animals are scurrying about, looking for cover. There is danger ahead."
Parent_Episode_2_Title="Caribbean Queen"
Parent_Episode_2_Introduction="'Oops,' Hades said, arranging his fearsome face into a sheepish expression. 'I forgot to tell you, mortal, that the land upon which you've built my city - which I love, by the way - belongs to Demeter. She considers herself queen of the entire area, and she's been touchy ever since I abducted and married her daughter, Persephone. Abduction is such an ugly word; I much prefer elopement. Anyway, Demeter has called your city a blight and has vowed to use the full extent of her powers to remove it from the face of the earth. My sister can be very tough when she wants to be, but if you build a Sanctuary in my honor I will defend you the best that I can.'"
Parent_Episode_2_Complete="'I know my sister well,' Hades said. 'Demeter is employing her usual tactics against you. She attacks in person for a little while but then withdraws in an attempt to lull you into a false sense of security. Ah, but my sister is tricky. Just when you let your defenses down, she'll return - with immortal reinforcements. We would be wise to find allies of our own. Rumor has it that a pair of gods has been spotted north of here. Go seek them out and implore them to join our cause.'"
Parent_Episode_3_Title="Can't Get No Satisfaction"
Parent_Episode_3_Introduction="'I wish that woman would make up her mind,' Hades roared. 'First, she tells me she wants a mountain home. Fine, I can provide that. Then, she says her mountain home is too rocky, so I clear some of the rocks for her. Then, she says that it isn't rocky enough, that there needs to be more rocks with orichalc in them. And so, being the agreeable sort, I oblige her. Then, she says that the rocks would look better if they were silver instead. So, presto-change-o, I decorate the rocks with silver. Then, she says that they looked better before, and would I pretty please change them back to orichalc. Now, I know I'm a god and I can do these things with a wave of the arm, but enough is enough! If we didn't need Aphrodite's help so much, I'd gladly send the insipid goddess back to her precious fountain of youth. Listen, mortal, I'm sick of doing every little thing that the goddess of love asks me to do, and my arm is tired from all that waving. Why don't you fulfill her every whim for a little while?'"
Parent_Episode_3_Complete="Aphrodite is sated at last, and your city has managed to stay afloat despite the attacks of Demeter and her compatriots. But, others in the region have taken notice and have become quite suspicious of all the supernatural goings-on. The Mayans firmly believe that Pherusa is cursed and refuse to send trade caravans or ships to trade, for fear that the merchants may somehow carry the curse back to their home city. Hopefully, with three powerful Olympians on your side, you will be able to manage."
Parent_Episode_4_Title="Why Can't We Be Friends?"
Parent_Episode_4_Introduction="Hephaestus has arrived in these lands to join his wife, Aphrodite. Hephaestus promised Hades to loan your city Talos, provided that a Sanctuary in Hephaestus' honor is built there. Unfortunately, Demeter, too, has rallied more Olympians to her side. She has enlisted the all-powerful Zeus who, in turn, has beseeched his daughter, Athena, to take up arms against Hades and his allies. And so, Zeus and Athena prepared their weapons and were on their way to Pherusa when Hera blocked their path. 'You may go, Athena,' Hera said. 'I have no quarrel with you.' Hera drew Zeus into a private chamber and shut the door. The door, however, offered little privacy, as shouts of 'pretty girls,' 'grow up,' and 'two can play at this game' could be heard in a distinctly female voice, and bellows of 'they throw themselves at me,' 'but I'm Zeus,' and 'It's none of your business' could be heard in a decidedly male voice. Finally, Zeus stormed from the room and thundered down Olympus, headed straight for Pherusa. Seconds later, Hera also emerged, in hot pursuit of her husband."
Parent_Episode_4_Complete="Things are again quiet in Pherusa for now. Demeter's allies have been turned back, and the alliance that Hades has forged with Aphrodite, Hera, Hephaestus and Dionysus seems unbeatable. But, as usual, just when everything seemed to be coming up roses, trouble again rears its ugly head. Artemis and Apollo have been eagerly waiting on the sidelines all this time, hoping that uncle Hades would ask for their help. The petition never came, so they have allied themselves with their aunt Demeter and eagerly anticipate wreaking their fair share of havoc."
Parent_Episode_5_Title="One Thing Leads to Another"
Parent_Episode_5_Introduction="Fear is sweeping through the streets of Pherusa. The god of thieves, Hermes, has been spotted on the horizon, and the fleet-footed god is fast approaching the city. Citizens are hiding their valuables for fear that Hermes will see something that he likes. The panic had reached a fevered pitch when Hermes made his entrance. 'What is all the fuss about in this city,' Hermes asked. 'Don't worry, mortal. I'm not here to join in the fighting. In fact, I'm here to help you stop it. We gods are easily upset, but we can just as easily be appeased. We just need to be reminded that we are all one big, happy family. You're a smart mortal. I'm sure that you can figure out something to reunite us.' As Hermes left, another messenger - this time a mortal - ran in and delivered yet another round of bad news. Apollo and Artemis visited the Oceanids and told the ocean-dwelling folk of the grand amounts of shiny drachmas stored in your treasury. Inspired by dreams of riches and encouraged by the twin gods, the greedy Oceanids are preparing to launch an attack to steal your money! With the Oceanids, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Demeter, Zeus and Athena against you, you are just as rich in enemies as you are in drachmas!"
Parent_Episode_5_Complete="Finally, the dust has settled. When the Olympians saw the gorgeous Pyramid of the Pantheon, their hearts softened. Demeter took a good look around the city and, noticing that there were no farms for her to curse, shrugged her shoulders and told Hades he could have his barren city. With that, she left to investigate some wonderful food that the natives call chocolate. Ares and Aphrodite also traipsed off together, presumably to patch things up. In the spirit of forgiveness that had overtaken the immortals, Zeus vowed to stop chasing after mortal women, and Hera promised not to be so suspicious of Zeus' every action. Dionysus, Hephaestus, Artemis, Apollo, Hermes and even the usually dour Athena left the city, arm in arm, laughing at Dionysus' latest jokes. Finally, your city if free from immortal intervention, and you are free to enjoy the riches that Hades offered you so many years ago."

Colony_1_Title="Almost Paradise"
Colony_1_Introduction="'And the mortal,' Dionysus gasped between fits of giggles, 'the mortal said, 'I had no idea the grapes would be so big!'' Aphrodite doubled over in laughter and, after wiping a tear from her eye, looked up and greeted you. 'Hades mentioned that you would be paying us a visit,' the goddess said. 'Dionysus and I would be most pleased to help, provided you do just a few, simple things for me first. First, I want to mark this spot, with my beautiful spring of youth, as my own. Why, just the other day I saw the oafish Atlas cavorting around in the waters as if he owned the place. A Sanctuary dedicated to me would let everyone know that the spring belongs to me. Of course, a Sanctuary in the middle of nowhere is not going to be enough. There needs to be a city to support the Sanctuary and to provide all the things that invited visitors to my spring need. So, a Sanctuary and a city is all that I require before I offer my and Dionysus' services. Oh, and a shrine to me once you return to Pherusa.'"
Colony_1_Complete="Aphrodite is thrilled with her new Sanctuary and city near the fountain of youth and is more than willing to hold up her end of the bargain. With Dionysus trailing behind, she is making her way to Pherusa to be close to the action. @P All the gods are choosing sides. At the mere mention of Aphrodite's name, Ares bottom lip began to quiver and a tear came to his eye. Suddenly, he loudly declared himself an ally of Demeter, mumbling something about showing the goddess of love not to break the heart of the god of war. The days ahead could be quite contentious indeed."
Colony_1_Selection="The land near sunny and fabulous Doto is home to Aphrodite's fountain of youth and well-suited to the cultivation of lots and lots of oranges!"
